Approaches the political economy of the global south through the lens of capitalism, empire, and colonialism, as well as patriarchy and racism. Topics include slavery/indentured labor, empire, colonialism, anti-colonial struggles, the struggles of post-colonial nation-states and non-state actors in achieving a more just and equal world economic order.
