    Disability Studies and CYC Praxis

Critical disability studies view ‘dis/ability’ as a lived reality in which the experiences of people with disabilities are central to interpreting their place in the world, and as a social and political definition based on societal power relations. Drawing on critical perspectives, learners interrogate biomedical and able-ist assumptions and nuanced understandings of inclusion and participation, and CYC praxis with neurodiverse and differently-abled children and youth in diverse family and community contexts.
